Default Chrome inner primary

Just wondering if anyone has put on a chrome inner primary and had this problem. I had it put on by a dealer and now all around the edge of the inner primary you can see the unpainted part of the engine block. Sticks out like a soar thumb! I was in a real hurry when I picked it up and didn't notice it. I called the dealer and they said that they could paint that area. He said that the primary is dowled so it can't be adjusted. Is this normal or did they put some after market part on, or what??? Any input would be great!

I've never pulled a primary off a TC but on the EVO and Shovel's there is very little room to 'play' with on the inner primary install. It basically pulls itself to the engine and tranny.

Post some pics....I was tinkering with the idea with doing this myself in a couple weeks but if there are cosmetic issues, I won't bother.

If you put any more chrome on that thing I'm going to have to get darker sunglasses just to ride with you, it's a good thing that Wglide cant keep up with my Ultra or I wouldn't be able to see where i'm going.

Hear it, the roar of the crowd

Well, once you know about it your eye certainly zooms in on it. Sorry man...I wouldn't be satisfied with it. I just checked my painted primary inner cover and it is actually about 1/32 larger than the engine. So you don't see the machined surface. It's probably tolerence issue or like you said a vendor's part? Maybe someone will post there picture.
