Finaly! Some saddle time shakedown.
. Anyway, headed down I-95 because I wanted to stretch it out a bit and soon learned why "Glide" is in the name. It's smooth smooth smooth, even, ahum, way above the legal speed limit. I was simply amazed. Took 95 to near Bunnel, by this time it was in the mid 70's, and hit the Old Dixie Highway through the Sawgrass Savannahs and old growth Live Oaks hanging over the road. There are tons of old roads like this in Florida, but this one holds something for me, maybe it's the history, I just dunno. It always invokes a sensation in me that very few places do. Before long, I'm back in the real world and turning onto Main Street in Daytona. Typical day in Daytona, so I haul *** over to A-1-A and head back home up A-1-A, which is mostly along the Atlantic so your always looking out over the Ocean, smellin' the sea air and occasionally distacted by beautiful woman laying out on the beach. This portion was a pretty long ride because the speed limits are low and you just have to be careful because of all the people crossing the road from the beach, but it's still very enjoyable and there are some nice places to stop. I hit St. Augustine and took U.S. 1 on home. In all, not a long trip compared to what some of you guys do, but still around 300 miles in all. I didn't get the monkey butt untill I had stayed in the saddle for 100 miles or so, but that's not a bad thing for me, I have never found a seat that was confortable, period, and I've had many many seats from Mustang to Corbin. All in all it was a very nice day for a ride and the FXD made it even better and didn't leave me drained like so many of the other bikes I have owned. Such a damn nice bike. Sorry I have no pics of all the things I saw today, but I just couldn't interumpt such a nice ride by taking pictures

You didn't have to take pics...I was riding along in my mind!
Nice ride we had...especially the chicks at the beach. I think I'll go back there now!
