to solve the problem of her on the back of my bike... i got her a bike... then another one... now she wants another one... hell soon she will ahve more than me! that is not fair. she is tiny though 100lbs 5'2... no problems on the back of my bikes... i do have buddy with a girl that is about 6 ft, he has a wide glide. got a set of stir ups, flipped them around so they are further out, seems to be working just fine so far... if not making an ext plate can not be that hard?
*on a side note, the stir ups on the passanger pegs flipped around... LOOKS GAY AS HELL!
I did the same thing. The seat is much thicker then the stock, so she sits up a little higher, giving her a little more leg room. BTW, I had to get a taller sissy bar to offset the thicker seat.
I am average height ... and I don't like the sitting position as a passenger on anything other that the big cruisers either for extended rides. Floor boards would definately make a difference so you can change knee, lower leg and feet positions, a good back rest for support, a wide seat so you can move a little without worrying about falling off the butt floss variety seat.
Movement is key ... legs, feet, back, even arms. Especially as a passenger, the longer you sit in one position, the more cramped up and uncomfortable it gets. I only know too well what THAT is all about ... THAT's exactly why I ride my own!
i have a tall boy 2 up seat for sale it is like new and in original box harley price is 260. I will sell it for 150 plus shipping I am in So california. harley part number is 51471-06
my girlfriend is tall 5' 8" and she complains the footpegs' position is not comfortable...plus the seat becomes painful for her after a 50 mile ride or so...my question is -aside from getting a shorter girlfriend - how have you made a dyna ride more comfortable for your passenger significant others? she does not want to buy her own bike and i'd like her to keep enjoying the ride with me...
**i have '08 streetbob w/ passenger seat and back rest...everthing was done at the dealership.
I am thinking, !. Get a new girlfriend. 2. Buy her her own bike. At my age I opt for #1. Your call IAS
I've got a lowrider seat on the Bob and girlfriend complained to and now fitted a sissy bar to support her back...taken care of the vibes buy buying an *AirHawk*blow up cushion for her to sit on,,you guys ever heard of this? Solved her problem : )
I think you can get some foot peg extension for the passenger pegs. It would push them a bit forward and down a bit. Sometimes even an inch is more confortable,
For a less expensive fix for the seat, try a gel pad. I bought one for my V-Rod and it made a world of difference. It was worth the $70 I paid for it. They make different sizes. I bought the extra large for my seat, but for a passenger seat, maybe a medium would work.
