Default Backbone wiring question

Just finished internally wiring my drag bars and trying to get everything back together. Man it's like trying to stuff 10lbs. of **** in a 2lb. bag! Am I going to hurt anything cramming all that wiring back in there? The wiring coming out of the switch connectors are bent over pretty good, could this cause a problem? Every thing lights up and seems to work but I just wondering how others did it.

It took me about 5 times of shoving it up in there, then pulling it back out again till I finally got it all back.

Ya man, it's tight, I actually shortened my turn signal wiring alot & it helped a little bit. Just took my time & placed em all back in!

there is a square hole in the rear fender in front of the tire that gives you a straight shot to the back bone. pull the harness through the hole and then stuff all the slack back under the seat.

I got it all back in there but it took a lot of force. That can't be good. Internally wiring the bars and taking apart the molex connectors was a snap compared to getting all that stuff back in there.

The bars a pretty much a cheap version of the street slammers from Debrix Cycles.

It's funny you mention it. All the wires are hanging out of the backbone on my bike right now. I just installed drag bars that I also got from Debrix Cycles for $11. They sent the wrong bar (a nicer version that costs 30 or 40 dollars instead). You're right, it's a pain. I'll wrap mine up tomorrow... Good luck with yours.

Thanks DH, hopefully I didn't screw anything up getting all those wires back in there. Oh wait till you try to put those rubber grommets back in on either side, that was fun. Now it's onto mounting my speedo.
