I took my new FXDC on its first extended Interstate cruise today. Took I26 up toward Asheville then 108 through the rolling foothills. Man, I love this bike!
I have realized that I'd like the bars to be a little higher. Has anyone installed the 56916-07 risers on their Custom? They look like they will raise the bars maybe 2 inches. I don't think that's enough to require new wires, cables, or brake line.

Get six beers, have a buddy over, take lose the risers have buddy hold the bars up 2", you sit on bike and see if that's the right height for ya.... No need in buying them and realizing that you need more!
They some nice risers tho, I can't wait till I get my 1 1/4 thick 16" apes on mine
You should be able to do 4" risers without changing cables (if you want that much height). A few months back I sold some 4" pullback risers to a forum member for an FXDC, and I don't think he changed anything else.
I'm thinking your bars are 1" .... I have 3.5" straight risers on mine and they work out fine. I also had them under the stock bars and that worked as well.
