Got my SE Heavy Breather installed today and also put on a Willie G timing cover. Still have to get a controller and get it installed though. I like that my leg doesnt hit the cover anymore when on the highway pegs.
very nice Bberck. lookin' good on your beast. My knee fits uptight against the back of my HB when my feet are on the highway pegs. Not much of an issue really, but it does interfere slightly for me.
Here's one in black....
Fits street legal on model year '08 DynaŽ and SoftailŽ models (OE throttle body). Race use applications fits '99-'07 DynaŽ, SoftailŽ and Touring models. Does not fit models equipped with fairing lower glove boxes.
I can't imagine there being a huge difference between 07 and 08 dynas, if any, at all.

Thanks SC. So do you think that the chrome one (p/n 29299-08) would also fit? Why is there a special one for FXDF? Why is the one you mention not street legal for 99-07 models? Does it have to do with the throttle body? Were there any changes?

I'm not really sure why previous years are 'race only'. Maybe that's just getting HD off the hook, and it is streetable. You know the old style SEII slip-ons state "off road use only" on the back of the pipe. No one uses them for off-road use.
I'd say consult with a local dealer or independent bike shop about it...or continue to search the site for further info. I'm sure there are members who have installed the heavy breather on pre-08 dynas
