Calling for chrome rim pix - chromed stock or aftermarket

By the way, I'm also considering putting a polished or chrome deuce wheel on the rear and leaving the spokes up front. Checked into that in the past. Still don't have the exact details, though, on how to make that work and if it's compatible with my SE 180 tire.
have you thought about taking off your stock wheels and lacing in some fatty spokes? either that or some ribbed or twisted? i rock twisted in mine and LOVE it... look at some of the set ups that HDwheels has, dif lace pattern may be a cool option for you as well... all of which would be cheaper than totally new wheels...
What I'm still not clear on is if I can reuse the bearings off of my current rims or the ones that may come on the fxd rims or why I can't reuse the rotor from my current rims? Can anyone answer that specifically?
Some of this info may be duplicating what is in my prior post. The wheel bearings are the same on both types of wheels. The Cast wheels use a V-rod rotor which mount on the spokes. The rotor on your spoke wheel mounts to the hub. Completely different rotors.
i was wondering if someone was ever gonna be intrested in my rims lol.. i still have them... i would have loved to had mine chromed but a little out of my budget.. also i think a complete powdercoat would look killer on these rims to..
i know the bearings would have to be pulled to be chromed . ive got about 20,000 on the bearings, i would just replace them since they have to come out anyway.. i have no idea how long they last.. have no idea on cost, probally not to extravagent..

I honestly love the look of a solid rim in the back with spokes up front, especially if it's highly polished or chrome. I did it on my last Sporty and it looked awesome!

I installed a full Chrome Deuce rear wheel that I bought new off ebay for $400 and installed new bearings. A 180 tire will fit fine.

I have searched high and low and can't find a chromed deuce wheel for sale straight up. All I find are exchange auctions.
As far as the "shhhh", I was half kidding but I didn't want someone else to beat me to them. Now I'm at least clear on the rotor thing so thanks for that.
I've actually had someone else pm me and offer a straight up trade for cost of shipping but i'm worried i'd be without wheels for too long. i have no idea how long it takes to do an exchange with chromepros. much more convenient to buy a set at a good price and send them off without having my bike down waiting.
anyway, my power is out so i'm on battery. will have to research this more tomorrow.
joe, i like the fat twisted spokes too but i don't want painted or powdered spokes on my particular ride (just doesn't fit mine IMO) and chromed will still be hard if not harder to deal with cleaning.
