Default Phase II ?

I have one more week (hopefully) till my Street Bob gets here. And I have been thinking of slapping the phase II big bore kit on it before I even pick it up. I mean if phase I is good, phase II is better, right? I had already planned on the phase I with new pipes for around $700usd, but now I am wondering why not go all the way? Has anybody got any info on whether it is really $2K better than stock ot not? What can I expect?

I had mine upgraded before I picked it up. 95", 204 cams, SEII Pro slip ons, SERT, SE AC, stock heads. Makes great power, very smooth. I have ridden a stock bike, and they just don't compare. Vast improvement over stock, but still looks stock. Is it worth $2K? Maybe. It is for me.

Thats pretty much what I wanted to hear. As for still looking stock, all the better. I have been driving a 'sleeper' 2000 Dodge Avenger for a few years now. Complete engine swap, bullet proof tranny, direct port nitrous, and a few more assorted goodies. But as for looking at her? Bone stock cept for the rims. Those guys in thier Civics dont know what hit em! Not that I am gonna quarter mile the Harley, just that I may as well get-r-done, ya know?

TX

I have a 2005 FXDX with a stage 1 big bore kit and SE slip fit II muflers, also a SERT & Dyno tune
The Stage 1 uses the stock cam....the stage II big bore uses a SE 203 cam
My dyno results with the stage 1 big bore & pipes was.....
80.5 HP
86.7TQ

The dyno tuner at HD said he could have gotten 3 to 5 more HP & TQ if I had had the stage II big bor with the cam.
I'm still vey happy....but if I had it to do all over again I would have gotten the stage II big bore with the SE 203 cams
hope this helps

Isn't a Dodge Avenger FWD? If so that must be interesting to have all that power pulling instead of pushing as with normal high power american cars.

Posi FWD. She's a trip, alright. A little different than my 68 Olds 442 felt.

And Patch, Thanks for the input. I am gonna go for it! You only live once, right?
Cannot wait, I am having trouble getting to sleep every night! My brothers Sporty came in and we are gonna go down to Buddy Stubbs tommorow and see how they are coming along with the $7k in extras he ordered for it!!!!!! Kid you not! Even the hardcore types working there are anxious to see how this turns out.
