throttle cables are too short and the brake line has a different hard line setup on it. Clutch line could possibly work. I changed my SB's minis to the superglide custom bars and those were the issues I had....I have since changed them back because I had forgotten how much better I like the handling of the bike with the mini apes.
does anyone know if a set of mini apes from a street bob will fit on a superglide without changing any of the cables
cheers
mick
They wont work. My first bar swap was khrome werks sweepers. 9" rise narrow minier than mini apes. They cables BARELY fit and the bars had to be pulled back slightly. HD mini apes would have been to much. Try finding take-off street bob cables that some one swapped out for bigger apes.

Exactly what I did. Mini apes and cable set from a street bob. Main control wires were no problem. I relocated my front turn signals down to the forks, but it appears they would be no problem either as there seems to be a fair amount of extra wiring in them as well.
Just finished the clutch cable this morning on my swap, so I'm done with that! Now it's back to finishing the fork bag.
... btw: got the bars and cables used, from a couple guys here on the forum, so the change was easy on the pocket book.

I just put mini apes on mine a few months ago and I had to get new cables and brake line. I think the wires would have been long enough for the signals, there's some extra tucked up in the frame, but I moved mine to the forks
all I replaced was the clutch cable (Wide Glide take off) moved the throttle cables outside the triple trees, straightened out the brake line with a cheap tubing bender from Harbor Freight and had more than enough wire in the back bone.

Might be a good point to note that stock cables on an '05 are 2" longer than the '07 - '09s FXDC.... and 4" longer than an '06.
I used stock 07 bob bars ,throttle cables ,clutch cable and brakes lines that i bought from a member here as well..
I bought a longer clutch cable recently just cause i wanted it longer..
