I seen an 09 superglide at a store the other day and im ashamed to admit it but they look way better than they use to. Does any one know if the rims and the new front ends will interchange with the older superglides? Those rims look pretty good chrome dipped and the triple tree looks much thicker and cleaner than on my 02 superglide.
Check with your service department, I think the rim spacers might be different, you want to be sure on rim fitment.
I agree, I had the dealer change out the wire rims on my SG Custom with the SG when I bought it, I like mags and I will have them dipped. I dont like the front rotor set up but installed Lyndal brake pads to make up for the loss of the floating rotor that comes with the SG Custom. I am going to chrome the hell out of the front end and rear rim, triple trees, forks, inner primary, headlamp housing, calipers, rear pully. and anything else I can think of. I will also have the rotors polished to a mirror finish, also polish the button head rotor bolts and caliper bolts to a mirror finish to avoid the rusting that happens inside the chrome bolt socket. Will use Chrome pros for all my chroming, have had great ecperience with them on the Ultra.

Better check closely as in 06 the dynas underwent a complete frame & front fork change. I do believe the axle sizes are different as well. The Moco got rid of the sportster front end on the dyna and it is a very different bike now. I don't think the front end will fit an older frame.
I have to disagree, the neck bearings should be the same so that shouldn't be an issue. As far as axle size goes, if you get the stuff to fit the front end there will be no issues. You may run into some challenges with the steering stops and the fork lock being different. If it were me I would dive in and do it but I'm kind of stupid that way.
Here's a link to a post from revolution, he has one of the newer 49mm mid-glide front ends for sale.
