If I can't find some 17" white walls, i guess i'll have to paint the tires.

Dude, don't paint the tires you will regret it. Mine turned brown in a couple of months and the melted while in Nevada during the summer.

Just take your front wheel and fender off and slide the forks out of the trees, then slide them on and reassemble.

Joe hasn't replied yet, but here is the email I got from Dunlop today.
