Default black front end.

One of my winter projects was to black out some of my front end components. I also wanted to increase the rake slightly. The plan was to go with accutronix black anodized 3 degree trees and powdercoat my fork sliders gloss glass. I am wondering if I shouldn't just buy polished trees and have them powdercoated the same so they match. Anyone with some experience with this? Maybe I should just get an entire black front end setup?

check powder prices in your area... usually polished is more $$$ than black... it can be done... look at my ride

The anodized trees are the same price as chrome. The polished trees are approx $60 less. That is according to the accutronix website. I will call the local PC and get a price.

Why not just take off your trees and sliders and have them powder coated at once.
Will make for a perfect match.
Not as tough as it sounds.
I just did mine...........only in wrinkle black.

Jay, did you paint your front end your self or send the parts out to someone? I am interested in the wrinkle black paint that was used on your bike, looks nice!

I took everything apart and was going to do the powder myself, but after adding up the cost of getting set up to do it and so on, I opted to have a local guy do it for me.

In all honesty, with the way your bike is set up, I would be more likely to go with the gloss black front end. Would match up with your frame nicely.

I have so much wrinkle black going on with my bike, it only made sense for me to go that route with the front end.
