Throw Over Bags
Here's a dumb question. I have an 06 Lowrider and didn't want to relocate my rear signals, so I bought a small set of throw-over leather bags. They seem to run fine without supports, but i'm wondering if i need them. I just have them tied to the shocks in the front and they don't appear to be moving much. How is everone else attaching their bags. Any problems hitting the belt or brake rotors.

Downside to that, is when they are up that high, it looks kind of goofy to me. So I'll be making my own bags and my own mounting system later this year.
my throw overs hit my rotor yes... i had to make a bracket to keep them off... i also put down a ton of 3M clear protective tape whenever i have on my bags... you can not even see it and it does an amazing job of protecting your paint!!
thanks for the tips. i will be adding lots of tape this year. I had the Kuryakan grand bags, but sold them because they were too huge. I like the look of my small leather bags. they fit nice between the shocks and signals.
JRK, 3M clear tape, what a great idea!! Dam, something so simple, never even dawned on me. You know how many front quarter panels scratches I could have prevented! Ok, going to get some. Dam, where the hell have I been, I am sure this is not the first time you have mentioned this. Thanks JRK!!!
Sorry, did not mean to hi-jack the thread, actually have an alternative idea for you. I have the relocating system on mine, and I just ordered the Kury panacea tail light, it has the turn signals built into it, so it has brake, left and right turn all in the standard tail light. With this, I will not need the existing turn signals. So that would solve your issue with the tail light relocate. Just a thought.

i've got some throw overs on mine. tied to the shocks and turn signals. no relocation. don't seem to be rubbing anything. had pretty good luck thus far.
