Default Help with Thunderheader Install!!

Well, I just started installing a Thunderheader on my 07 SB and have already hit a wall.
There is a clamp that is supposed to slide over the rear header and mount to the rear bracket. The trouble is, it is way too small to fit over the pipe. Has anyone else ran into this...if so is there a solution to this that won't end in me scratchin my new pipes?
any help at this point will be greatly appreciated.

it fits.......takes a bit tho
you could try tryin to wedge a piece of wood or plastic in the clamp to get it to spread. make sure that snap ring and flange are off of couse.
just take your time and dont get frustrated.

I used the Sears yellow jack out in my garage...Tied a piece of 550 cord to each end of the clamp, and then secured one end to the bottom and one end to the top of the jack.....then I cranked it up until it spread the clamp.

The next fun part is getting it closed around the pipe again.
