I want to put some rush slipons with 1.75 baffles on my 2008 fxdc, nothing else.Just for sound ,i have all the power i need. Do i need to do anything else besides just put them on and go,and maybe check plugs afterwards. From what ive been reading changing pipes can get very expensive, especially when all im going for is sound. If theres to much involved i think ill just stay stock. Thanks
yep its all good! And the 1.75 is good choice for everything else stock! I have the 2.0 slip-ons,and they are good! The chrome isnt the best,im selling mine as soon as i can figure out what exh sys i want (2-1th,vh sideshots, fishtails,,list goes on and on!)
I like the sound of the RUSH slipons that are on my Fatbob. The chrome looks good too. I don't know the size of my baffles, the slipons were on when i bought the bike. It was 6 months old with a little over a 1000 miles on it when I bought it. I'm the 2nd owner.
If you go bigger then the 2" rushes you'll have problems. My buddy has the 1.75 and loves them on his 08 Fatbob. On his 06 LR he had traden in had them as well.
yea, thats what I put on mine, they're good,Like GW said, the chrome on mine is'nt real good, mine are starting do dull up a bit where they go into the headpipes,(and I polish them all the time)I would like louder too.maybe shoulda got the 2 in. baffles, esp. with my new air cleaner and PC5,I did the same as you,and many others, said I was gonna just put on muffs for some sound, and NEVER nothing else, yea right!!But,if you are gonna stay stock except for muffs,I don't think you want anything bigger than 1.75's.

Black Rush slipons, two inch baffles. Sound ok, but not enough bark in my opinion. PHASE 2 J.E.T. AirStack and a little tweaking w/SEST Pro. Runs Good, but I'd like a little more bark. Thinking about taking the packing out of the mufflers.
I have 2.0 Slipons and they sound good. If you just do the slipons nothing else should be needed. your EFI should compensate. I dont think 1.75will be much louder than stock though.
