My 11" 412s should be in the mail right now. I hope to have and install them by this weekend. Lowering the FXDB 1" should give it the same ground clearance that my '08 Nightster had with the stock suspension. It handled pretty well, but I was always draggin something in the turns.
My dyna was lowered it looked much better.
If you are doing this put decent qaulity shocks on like progressives also make sure you change the fork springs, other wise the front end will feel to soft .
As your bike will be lower it will hit the ground sooner when you lean it. Standard length pipes tend to hit the ground a lot. If you put a shorter sytem like V&H short shots these give better ground clearance. Your wieght and load as well as pillion will have a big impact,if you ride mainly solo and you are not overwieght the modifications are well worth it in looks and improved handling,if you are a larger person and ,or,ride two up mainly then you will get the looks but at a big sacrafice to .ground clearnce
Good luck .
went with the 11'' 412's,,,no problems with 2up and a full pack...hope these pics help... next will be accutronix 3degree triple trees keeping the narrow glide frntend,,,that will drop the frontend down about 1''
