I currently have a Drifter made by Bell but it sits up pretty high on the head. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a more lower profile half shell. I was looking at a skid lid but am not sure if it fits any closer to the head.
I just picked up a visorless Vega XTS...about $45 and doesn't give me the shroom head. The wife has commented several times on how much better this one looks over my crappy HJC that I had before.....I'm just happy that this one doesn't catch wind on the interstate.
I got mine from www.carbonfiberhelmets.com. It's the thinnest helmet I've seen yet other than novelty and DOT approved for us mandatory military folks. A little expensive though (150.00ish).
I like the HD one i bought, thought it sat just right on my head, not on top like most half helmets.

Do you happen to have a picture with it on. Im thinking of either that one or the daytona half shell. Head trips carbon fiber does look sweet, but too steep$ for me since ill only need it for a couple days while on vacation. Big bad sin city, but dont come without helmet.
