Helmet Talk
Do you happen to have a picture with it on. Im thinking of either that one or the daytona half shell. Head trips carbon fiber does look sweet, but too steep$ for me since ill only need it for a couple days while on vacation. Big bad sin city, but dont come without helmet.

I had one of those Bell Drifters….man, I hated that helmet! It looked good on the website, but it’s HUGE and it catches the wind really bad! I felt like it was going to rip my head off.
I went ahead and bought one of those Headtrip ACC carbon fiber/Kevlar helmets: http://www.carbonfiberhelmets.com/
I love it! It’s still not completely without the dork factor, but it’s much smaller and more importantly it wears well while riding.

An outfit called LeatherUp.com sells an Outlaw brand 1/2 helmet that is skinned in black leather. I bought a Lg (me) and a Med (future lady psgr) for $39/ea...no tax (out of state) and had free shipping at the time (about 2 months ago). They look great with our Dynas, and I'm careful about not dropping 'em; donno how they'd handle a gravity-test on gravel or concrete, as the leather feels pretty thin. FWIW.

Im a cheapskate, I took my mushroom 1/2 lid, a die grinder and a case of beer out to the garage.
I removed the liner from the lid, ground down the foam until it fit my head properly, then glued the liner back in.
That was in the 80s, and Im still wearing it yesterday (snowed again today) (damn global warming)

If ya like the low-low style, ya might consider customizing a Davida or Biltwell style helmet by tearing out the lining and carving/sculting the foam to ride lower.
