I went in the store and tried it on.

I was a large in my HJC helmet...a medium in this new Vega.

Wife and I wear a beanies here. We walked out of the dealership with matching helmets back in the day and after one summer of hot itching heads we said "Screw this". When we go to Sturgis, helmets come off at the Penn. state line and it's freedom all the way to SD!

Does anyone know if the Skid Lid helmets fit and look like the Novelty's.
I have a mushroom helmet I got from HD, and would like to get into something other than another mushroom.

What store did you go to. I cant find anywhere locally here in wisconsin that sell them. I did look at the hjc sizing chart and its virtually the same a vegas sizing chart so now im really confused on what size to order if i have to. My head is an even 23".

Good thing you've never need to use it in a crash. What good does it do, other than holding up some stickers?

Try www.jafrum.com or www.motorcyclesuperstore.com both have a great return policy on helmets, especially if you exchange for a different size. Nothing but my polo novelty looks good on me and I wear it backwards. That said, I wear my HCI DOT vintage to satisfy the ole' lady. The foam is as thin as the ACC helmet and fits great, good compromise, unfortunately they don't make them anymore.
