I bought a 3/4 Bell helmet and the it just doesn't come down close enough to my brow to look right... it just looks like I have a 'fivehead' (one more than a forehead).
Is there a particular style or something that I can search for which has a lower profile brow on the lid? While my current lid feels safe and snug it feels like it sits way on top of my dome and it just looks stupid.
Haha, it certainly isn't small but my current bell seems to be at about my hairline (which is where it should be) but I feel like spaceballs when I wear it... just total melon head.
My wife's helmet fits on her head different than mine. We both have HJC, 3/4 with face shields. She always has hers more to the back, while mine is closer to my brow. Maybe you should try doing what I told her...put it on from the front to the back, if that makes sense.
I have the same problem with Bells and Daytonas. It could be the shape of your head. Those helmets don't fit my oval-shaped head very well and leave a big dent in my forehead if I force them down lower.
I've found Torc, Fullmer, and Biltwell fit me best. My Biltwell El Fuerte had the lowest profile, but lost its DOT cert. The Bonanza's are huge in comparison, but YMMV.

Proper fit really can only come from trying them on...helmet makers make various sizes of shells and liners/padding You can find helmets for round heads, oval heads, egg shaped heads, flat heads, tall heads, etc.
Important because if it doesn't fit right or look right to you, you probably won't want to wear it much nor will it provide the best protection.
Lots of people go to various bike brand dealers or shops and try on helmets first. The benefit is that they carry various brands and styles and can assist you with ensuring a correct fit for your type of head. They may have one in stock or can order you one. Most have a policy about returning one for a better fit.
I personally will buy the helmet from them vice going out and getting one cheaper on line after you found the one as to me that is only fair and what I would expect if I spent my time assisting you at my business (if I had one).
Or research online and make sure there is a return policy.
If you are not comfortable when riding, it will distract you.
