I mean I don't have some weird looking head or anything, just a normal 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 inch hat size. However I have never been able to find a beanie or a half helmet that doesn't stick up so high off the top of my head that it looks and feels ridiculous. I love to not wear a helmet but I'm leaning toward revisiting wearing one, as I live in North Mexico (South Texas) and the drivers here are absolute idiots.
I know others have this same issue. Anyone found a good helmet that fits right and is DOT safe.
Coming from the 'novelty' helmets of my youth, I now have a Daytona... I've got an oval head, so had to find the right fit. I also ended up buying a much larger helmet than I expected. By buying larger, it actually allowed the helmet to sit down further... And correctly.
I do miss my little brain buckets.... But, figure I might miss my brain a touch more. But, the jury's still out.
I just started wearing a Bell Pit Boss. I'm happy with it so far. Seems to fit down on my head pretty well. I don't feel like I look like the Great Kazoo.
Good luck. I have never seen anyone beanie that looked good on anyone. They either make you look like a mushroom and dorky or they are so small on your head that they just look goofy.
The key is to BELIEVE you look great in them and IMAGINE people think you look cool in them and just ride. Don't pay too much attention to how other people think of you and you will be much happier.
