grape ape... I dont really think that after she has 120k miles on a Victory Vegas, that the Street Bob is going to be a challange for her..

Even as you posted to her..... 'Once on the bike, I had absolutely no problems. It was very easy to get the feel for it -- and I have a lot less miles under my belt than you do.'

I guess I just worded it wrong, all I was tryin to say is that she would be very comfortable with in the time it took to travel a block. But your right she might be more at home if she 'was at home'... But even then, she'll feel at home on the bike before she gets to the stop sign at the end of her block........... The new Dynas are great handling bikes..

Thank you again for all of your replies. Means a great deal to me as I'm not stating my "worries" with the guys I ride with-well, i'm sure you can imagine why.

I called the dealership today, i'll find out tomorrow for sure, but it's looking positive for thursday, but maybe friday.

I can't believe i'm loosing sleep over this. I know how to ride. This dang ankle! You guys are bringing comfort with your replies,,,,keep 'em coming till I bring it home? .

Good news....my insurance is almost $700can. less than with the vegas.

ps..thanks for the laugh with the misprint .

Don't worry about the bars.......because it's YOUR Harley. If you don't like em.....take them off and find a set you like. I picked the LR because the handle bars fit me just right. But, you can sell the stock SB bars on Ebay in no time and re-coup some of your cost. I bought Harley because you can add the things you like and subtract the things you don't. So enjoy your ride and if you don't like the bars........change em out!!

As KBFXDLI said. It's YOURS, but that's coming from somebody that has about 6 hours of ride time under his belt. Long story short, if I can do it with no ride time than I'm sure you'll have no prob.

Hey lvnglf,

You said you weren't stating your "worries" with the guys you ride with.

Well you can state your worries to us anytime! And most importantly you can ride with us anytime.

Hey here is some more encouraging words "Another day has passed and your that much closer to having that new Harley"!

Picked up my new ride tonight.

Yep, I was nervous, I lost sleep over switching rides. Until the replies did indeed bring me ALOT of comfort. I rode it in the parking lot at the dealership for 15 mins. Then on the road we went. Had one friend in front, and one behind me. Got the extention added on to the kickstand right away,,,,but, ,,,,,,

I LOVE IT. So much easier to handle than the vegas. I always called the vegas the "pig",,,now I have another word for that ride,,,,but, i'll keep it to myself. I still love the vegas, but for a small gal, the bob vrs the vegas, night and day for handling.

Thank you SOOOOO much for all your replies.

I was never worried about my riding capabilities, just my ankle. How much weight can a "dead" bone hold up if it starts to go down was my huge concern. You were right, the ape bars, no big difference at all.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE REPLIED-you made a huge difference on my "stress" this week.Yes, you were right!

Bummer I got reminded by my friend behind me that I had new tires,,,,,I was having major FUN!
