Not a bad idea leaving the T/S bar un-modified. It would be the pits to work it over and then find a Deluxe fender like you talked about.
How's your bike coming along bra?
After that "Can a rattle can paint job look as good as a pro?" thread (https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-as-a-pro.html) I'm surprised you haven't posted a similar "here's how my FL Dyna looks now that it's painted" thread!
It's been cold! I need heat in the garage so I can go out there for more than two minutes. I did wrap up the sheet metal for the most part and rode it around some. Didn't go far, no rear brake or tail lights and all.
I was just trolling around in your albums. I like the dash idea, think it's going to work? Just for fun I just took the dash off my stock tank and set the Street Bob dash on it. Laid on the tank like it belonged there but didn't leave any room for the speedo. Hope this helps.
It's OBE now, I bought a Low Rider gas tank ... haven't got all the accoutrements just yet. I think I'm going to paint it first ... paint all my tins the BMW color "platinum bronze" (A53) and do a graphic reminiscent of the original '71 Super Glide (a 34th anniversary tribute bike).
Also, I think I'm going to do a graphic of the attached photo (below) centered on my fairing (just the outline over the underlying color). Might do a few Von Dutch style pinstripes on the top of my saddlebag lids ....
Could someone tell me how to photoshop the concept? ... I have some photos in my photo albums. Thx!
It's a Navy thing ... force of habit, I suppose ... R/ is shorthand for the courtesy close "Respectfully" and V/r is for "Very respectfully"

See ... I was on to something. Loner Industries and I had a plan that is OBE (overtake by events, more Navy-speak) now to fabricate a recessed gas filler/cap and hinge the dash to swing the speedo aside for refueling (we were going to finalize a design and fab it with his CNC machine).

But, still no saddlebag brackets or rear turn signal mounting bar I've been waiting on ... didn't expect this to get here so quickly ... I was pleasantly surprised!
