Default Fabbed My Own Sidemount License Bracket *PICS ADDED*

Went to Home Depot and bought an angle bracket...found em by the hinges. I bought the 8" and 6" (or 10" and 8"...can't remember) long varieties. Cut each half of the 8"er down to width of the plate, then cut one arm off the 6". These things have predrilled holes, and crossed diagonally across the plate the holes on the 6" line up perfectly with those of the license plate. Trimmed down the end of one of the scraps from the 8" bracket, and used that at the bottom of the plate...just crossed the 6" arm between the top and bottom, and fastened it all together with some bolts and wingnuts. Spray painted it last night...I'll have pics of it tomorrow.

I predict most probably don't like it because it does look kinda raw, but then it only cost me about $20 total and I've got essentially the same thing people pay $100 for, and I'm not necessarily about the chrome and smooth edges with this bike anyway. The only thing that kinda sucked was that it took about 4 Dremel cutting wheels to do the whole job...this is some tough #*%&$ steel!

EDIT: Added some photos, sorry about the delay...I had a lot of work last night. As you can see, nothing earth shattering and probably not worth the wait, but it's functional and that's really all I care about right now. Flame away, I know it's not attractive, it certainly looks homemade. But it works.

In the first photo you can see I left the connecting arm one hole (predrilled) longer than I needed to. I like the idea of having the extra clearance there, but I may still trim it down so it hugs the bag closer. You can't really see that hole unless you look for it, especially with the bike leaning in that direction on the stand...kinda hides it. Still gotta add a frame too, so it's not just the bare license plate.
