Thanks for the input guys but it's all off now! I just got off the phone with HD and I was told the speedo from my bike will NOT mount in the streetbob dash and all the mounting hardware would cost 300 buck then I would have to buy the correct speedo for 260 buck then pay another 100 bucks to have the dash chromed we are looking at 660 just to install in on my bike then add another 400 for the paint and the 200 bucks I already spent for the tank 1260 bucks to move my speedo to the tank.... NOT
That's crazy
Anybody wanna buy a 06 streetbob tank?
I am so mad at the dealer for telling me my speedo would work I could just go there and smack him!
dam, sorry to hear about that. I will say this though, 2006 street bob dash fits on a low rider and vice versa, so have you looked into maybe what the speedo costs on ebay if there is one? I would be intersted in knowing the difference between your tank and the street bob. I know that there will be some difference, but dam there must be something that can be done. I would not nec. give up yet. Someone on here has got to know some tricks that have been done. if I had some time, I would do further looking into possible fixes, changes, maybe extrenal handelbar mounted speedo, or ...... i hope you get something to fix the problem. if not, put the tank on Ebay if no one here is interested and go from there.

It's the depth of my speedo.... it will fit the dash hole but it's to deep and wont let the dash come all the down on the tank.
Edit: Oh yes I have talked to him and his is a 08 I don't think his stuff would work on a 06 but not real sure.
Thanks again jmp, Donnie
All the parts for the dash of a street bob should be interchangeable from '06 and up.
That price for paint sounds real good. My tins are being painted now. My painter is charging me $600 to shave the tail light hole and all of the other holes except the solo seat mounting hole, fixing three dings in my tank, and painting the tank and fenders gloss black.
