If the map in the FP richens the AF ratio, why would you also need XiEDs?
From my personal experience, because it doesn't do a very good job. The reason for this as I understand it is that since the FP is EPA compliant it still drops in to closed loop mode while cruising. While in closed loop mode the FP does nothing (Or very little) to change the AFR and the ECU relies on the O2 sensors for all (a lot) of it's data collection. The XiEDs help with this by changing the voltage from the O2s and therefore lying to the ECU. The PCIII is not technically street legal as it has O2 eliminators and prevents the ECU from dropping into closed loop mode.
Thundermax, PCIII (V), or SERT would pretty much kill the point of the XiEDs though.
I am considering rush muff's with 2" baffles and FuelMoto's stage I A/c and possibly the PC-V if I decide not to go with the VIED's. I'll let you know what I find out.
I'm putting the Cycle Shacks on this weekend.
I'm still undecided about what a/c I want to use. It's between the Big Sucker and the Screaming Eagle. I need to look into the PC-V.

Is anyone running an IED on their bike as part of their Stage I? I had a FuelPak on my old Sporty and it left a bit to be desired. I thought about just getting the Harley download, but if this would work better...
Thanks!
You might want to try that search again. There is a ton of stuff on here about XIDs. I've used em and been satisfied.

Depends on who you ask.....V&H says to pull the XiED's off when you install a FP, NiteRider say's run both.
I tried it both ways, I percieve it as running better with both.
My bike ran just great with my Xied's until I went stage one A/C and rush 1.75. Even then the bike was running fine, but I felt it had lost some low end torque. I went for the stage 1 download (got a deal at 160$,haha all they do is re-flash the computer, takes mmmmmmm.... not even 5 minutes the joke is on us) she runs great now but I feel the xied's become redundant,so I took them off. Correct me if I'm wrong please!
XIED's only work during closed loop (Idle, and part throttle cruising)
FP works primarily with open loop so they should not conflict.
Stage I download only alters open loop fuel, so shouldn't conflict with XIED's
PC eliminates o2's so won't work with XIED's
SERT, SEST, & TTS can alter closed loop fuel so the potential to conflict with XIED's is there.
i am currently running se mufflers/se heavy breather/stage 1 download. i am a firm believer that if you are running stage 1 on a fi harley that you must get the download from the dealer. i am also running the ied's and the phatster runs like a champ! thinkin about getting the xied's to see if they would improve the ride even more, but i'm not sure i want to sacrifice the fuel economy over the long haul since i make big trips.
it doesn't take much, however, to get a more aggressive/better flowing exhaust than the se slip ons i have. so you may have to resort to more fuel management (sert is the hot ticket). i don't know if you can stack em though....
I have the XiED's with the SEII Slip-ons and my bike runs perfect. It does not pop on decel and runs very good , I would definetly reccomend then if you are adding only a high flow a/c or a set of slip-ons.
