I agree with Chad. Personally for me they're not cost effective. To each his own. For a couple hundred bucks more you can add cams and REALLY feel a difference.

can you just add a breather to your bike and ride, or do you have to take it to the dealership for some tinkering, need a response on this one , refund is on its way

Probably not absolutely necessary to get the ECU retuned, but a very good idea to make better use of the increased airflow.

Not the bike requested in the thread starter.....but from close up not too much difference.....and another chance to post a pic

How are you comparing the Heavy Breather to the S/E Stage1 A/C? Did you try the S/E on your bike before the Heavy Breather?

I don't think there can be that much difference between them to say "it has a lot more power". Just how much more air can it let in?

OK, I've been looking for one on-line and it seems that they are only sold for
'08 & 09's. Question is... will it fit on an '05 that already has the stage 1 kit?

Thanks for all your replies.

Had it on mine but it really felt like it was forcing my foot off the peg. Even put extensions on and still very uncomfortable

Can you give us some numbers to compare with? Then we can see what "it has a lot more power than the stage 1 a/c" means.

My dealer told me that this was the only mod out of the Breather/Exhaust mods i wanted to do that would not require tuning.. In other words i could get the heavy breather or a S1 for that matter and not need a PC or anything like that.. Said wouldnt need one of them till i put the exhaust on the bike..
