Chrome fork sliders - worth it?

I have a set of fxd mags off being chromed and while I wait (which I hate), my head is filled with other things I might want to do. I'm afraid when I put those chrome wheels, polished rotors, chrome spacers, axle covers, etc. on, I'm going to wish the front end was chrome or at least the sliders.
I was originally going to take the wheels off my bike and just get my indy to swap the tires out, etc. and then I would reinstall the wheels on my own. Long story short, the wheels will be shipped back to him and I will take the bike over and let him do it all including my 10k service and state inspection.
Just wondering if this might also be a good time to go ahead and do some chrome sliders. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on some and what the labor effort is (for someone that knows what they are doing)? The bucks have already piled up on this project and it doesn't look like uncle sam is going to be returning any of my hard earned tax dollars to me this year.
And if your doing ll that work, you'll be glad you chromed the lower legs. If I ever get tired of the powdercoated black legs on my bob, I'll just replace them with a chrome set and sell them to someone who wants powdercoated ones on their bike.
