Default powder coating spree!!!

I just stopped by my local indie shop for a quart of rev-tech and found out that he does powder coating. Apparently he's been doing it since before he opened his shop. Anyways I asked about doing the mags on my bike in gloss black and he says 70 bux a wheel. Sweet!! Then I started questioning his finished product so he takes me in the back where he's putting a softie back together and his finish looks awesome. Very professional looking. It's nice and sunny here in Ohio today, so I'm about to go for a ride... but soon as the weather turns to crap again the bike is going on the stand. I'm thinking wheels, fork lowers, levers and sprocket all in gloss black. What do you guys think? I hate that my sg custom is all chrome except for those ugly cast wheels, haha. They look really out of place but for what I paid for the bike, I wasn't gonna complain.

Post the finished product and your thoughts when you get it done. I am about 45 minutes from you and looking at getting some stuff powder coated. It would be worth a trip up if it is good quality.

The name of the shop is RPM located on Tabor Ridge Rd. off of St. Rt. 39 just outside of New Philadelphia. I can't find the phone number right now (just got a new cell phone) but I'll have it soon. Anybody else riding today?

Ahhh yes, black powder coating = GOOD.
IMO nothing but acres and acres of pure chrome ... looks nice ...
but pretty much just like the rest of the pack expressing their "individuality".

If you can add the pulley, struts, triple trees and front rear turn signals.

Pulley yes, struts and signals no... haha, I like my chrome too much! Although I'm glad to have seen your bike on here, Mr. Moto, you have the same wheels as I do and yours look suhweet! Just the look i'm after. If you look at my pics you'll see my battery cover is missing. I'm thinking of making one out of diamond plate and powdercoating that. Seems original enough. I'm also kicking around an idea for a custom ac cover but I don't think I've ever seen it done so i'm not tellin .

BigV, Post some pics once it's all done. Powder coating the stock mags keeps the bike o.g.
