Just my thoughts but.... I probably would have used like a used streetbob fender to cut up and sell the bobtail fender. Again just my thought.

streetbob fender is too narrow. He would have had to slice down the middle and widen with a strip from another fender.

First, nice work, I didn't think the fat bob fender could be cut into something that nice.Second, I keep hearing this

I wonder if anyone has tried using spacers I've heard there is only a 1/2" difference if that's the case one could easily bridge that distance with 1/4" spacers on each side, what am I missing?

There's a little gap between the stock fender and the struts on my '05 FXD ... probably less than 1/2", but I think more than a 1/4" ... I didn't measure.
