Post Ok, WTF??

I wanted to get these footpegs for my 09 Street Bob, but it says they don't fit or am I just reading this wrong?

Harley # 50911-08 Diamond Black Collection Footpegs

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Anyone have these?

Looks good to me.

Fits models with H-DŽ male mount style footpeg supports (except the rider position on '07-later XL883L, XL883N, XL1200N, '09-later XR1200™, '08-later FXDB, FXDF, FXCW/C, '02-later VRSC™ and '09-later FLHTCUTG models).

Hate to break it to you, but you're just reading it wrong. "Fits...'08-later FXDB, FXDF (that's you).....

You're good to go with them.

Cheers!

Thats what I thought, but what does this mean?

(except the rider position on '07-later XL883L, XL883N, XL1200N, '09-later XR1200™, '08-later FXDB, FXDF, FXCW/C, '02-later VRSC™ and '09-later FLHTCUTG models).

Oh, by the way, Compgeek....Is that sissybar on your bike the one piece with the sideplates built on?

That is wierd....I've seen them on as passenger pegs on a Fat Bob before.

The pegs are slightly longer than your stock pegs and since the Bob and others listed sits lower they will be more likely to drag. HD says they dont work for a liability issue.

They will mount up fine but will stick out further than stock.

Yeah, so I just re-read the part about "except the rider position". That's a new one to me. Never heard that particular exception before. It either fits into the mounts or it doesn't. I can't see how it would affect the rider position in any way. Weird. I'd say call your dealer and ask, but I'd bet my next paycheck that the guy behind the parts counter wouldn't know what it meant either.

As for my sissy bar config: It's a two piece setup. I have the standard H-D rigid side plates and a CycleVisions (cyclevisions.com) 18" Attitude Stick. I had both the stick and my sideplates powder coated in wrinkle black.

*edit* Thanks for clarifying the peg fitment for everyone bberck. That makes sense.
