Finally got my fender cut, tail light on/wired, and my Progressive 11" installed.
Still have a few touches to put on it this weekend, such as rounding the corner on the fender cut a little. But I have a question, I currently do not have turn signals on the bike. I seem to get along fine with out them but anyone have any ideas for moving the stock indicators (I like the way they look minus the wing) away from the end of the fender? Ideally I would want it just behind the driver's seat but am not sure how to mount them. If I drill into the strut will it weaken it too much for a passenger or luggage?
I've seen somebody on here mount the rear signals to the forward fender mounting point but they did drill a second hole to run the wire through.I remember them complaining about how long it took to drill through the frame rail.I tried something similar without drilling a second hole by running the mounting bolt and wire through the same hole, it's big enough but couldn't get it together without removing the rear wheel so I gave up and just mounted them to the original mounting holes.
looks great, welcome to the short fender club. i put my sigs below the swingarm on the axel covers, that way i can still use my saddle bags when needed.
