Unless you go with the wider 21" rim, and a wider tire.

I can't really tell a difference between my 21 and the stock 19. Still handles and rides great.

The wheel on eBay has a chrome hub, spokes, and rim. You can build a much better wheel using your stainless hub, then buy stainless XL spokes, and a chrome rim. The parts should cost you less than $250.00. Lace it yourself. Cost about $40.00 to have it trued. Much better set up and a lot easier to maintain.

Also, I am a conservative rider, but have lost nothing in comfort and performance with the 21". Looks great on the Dynas.

Will a 21" fit under the stock fender?

The 21" wheel is taller, but the tire sidewall is shorter. The wheel and tire together is only about 1/2" taller than the 19".

Yes, it will fit. Many here have them mounted under the stock fender.

It actually matches the fender better. As for the handling issue, I'd say you have to be a pretty aggressive rider for it to matter much.

I went from 19" to 21" . notice no negative handling and ride characteristics at all. I recommend a metzeler tire as opposed to a dunlop. bike tracks straight over bridge grates better than before. The contact patch between a 19 with a 100 and a 21 with a 90 is different but about the same . the 90-21 tire has a thinner but longer patch. the 100 wider and shorter.

You'll notice a difference in handling if you go with a wide glide front end at stock height. If you're going to do it, stick with the stock dyna tubes regardless what a rake and trail calculator tells you. However, the only handling issues you'll encounter are over 60 or 70 mph.

just my two cents from experience.

Can you buy the 21" chrome smooth rim and the spokes off the wideglide or the sportster through the dealership? Not the whole wheel, just the rim and the spokes.
