I find sunglasses to be such an individual thing. What someone else swears to me are the best glasses, I find uncomfortable, or just not right for me, or vice versa. Funny, my husband says the best glasses he ever got were the cheap ones at Cumberland Farms when we were on a trip and he lost his other pair. FOr some reason, the ones he got ended up feeling great for him, looked good, and wrapped around just a bit, but not too much.
Anyway, I'm thinking about getting some RX glasses and was thinking of Wiley X. But I want transitions. So anyone else ever have them? I see one negative comment. Any others, pro or negative? Seems like the comfort isn't the issue, just the transitions??
Does anyone have sunglasses or goggles that they would recommend? It seems like Im buying a new 25.00 pair every few months. Anyone come across glasses that dont fog up?
I think my biggest problem is that I wear a helmet (state law) so the glasses inevitable bend inside the helmet and eventually crack.
got a pair of HD Roadmaster goggles from local dealer bot $90 in a transition lens, the look like a sunglass frame with strap instead of the arms, dont look stupid like most goggles

First let me say MY WILEY X SUNGLASSES JUST BROKE NO LIE! LOL I wouldnt get the Top Jimmie model. The ones I have. They have a hole in the frames for a strap and thats where they broke. I just put them on my head and they broke. How funny that this thread came up today.
As far as transition lenses. If you get prescription lenses they arent going to be the JUNK that Wiley X sells. Youll have the option of getting the real Transition lenses not Wiley Xs knockoff of them. At least if you go through a local optical dealer. See if there isnt a dealer in your area. I had trouble finding one that accepted my insurance, but I did find one.
I see now that the Wiley X glasses have a lifetime warranty, but you have to send them in and send $9 for them to decide if they are going to send you a new pair. I cant see how they would deny my issue.
There are a few other pairs besides the Top Jimmie to choose from that still have the foam eye cups.

Mine are not prescription but the lenses still work very well. Like I said I wish they got a little darker but they transition well.
All that said your right what fits good for one may not for others. I bought a set of the HD ones first and they where terrible for me but have a buddy that loves his.
Got some 12 dollar ones from Harley over a year ago, still good, and a pair of 10 dollar goggles at a trophy store that work great. No way I'm spending 200 for a name that doesn't work any better.
I wear a full face helmet and prescription lenses. Buy the good stuff. Unless I'm in a heavy thunderstorm with a lot of humidity, I don't have a problem with fog. Current sunglasses are Revo, but I'm looking at replacing them with some new Oakleys. They don't get bent like some cheap sunglasses.
I have two pair of Wiley-X's. My favorite pair are the Romer II's. I got them 10 years ago and except for a couple of small scratches on the lenses, they're in great shape. They work with no problem with my full face, 3/4, and skid lid. The second pair are the Airrage (I think), got 'em from Sportsmans Warehouse for about $10. They have the foam insert around the lenses, but they don't fit as well with my helmets as the Romers do. As for the lense tint, I think that it's gotten lighter over the years. My Romers are very dark.
I rock those $18 dollar shades that Harley sells around here. I have a set for night, and a set for day. Have had them for about a year and they work just fine.
