Default Finally my own "Winter MOD" thread!!!

I have been slowly acquiring parts to put on the bike, some while I was still in Iraq even, and now that I am back I can finally work on tearing the bike down and doing some extensive winter mods. Call it a post OIF bike binge if you will. Been good at taking pictures so far but haven’t gotten around to posting anything until now. Big thanks to everyone on the site, there is a wealth of knowledge here that I have tapped in to extensively. I have been an eBay wheeler and dealer and also got some great deals from members here on the forum. Pictures to trickle in as I get stuff done.

Here is the long list of the mods I am working on:
Wide Glide Triple Tree Conversion
21”x3.5” 80 Spoke front wheel with 120/70-21 Avon Cobra Tire
Polishing Front Lowers and brake rotor
Progressive Front Lowering Springs / SE HD fork oil
Ness Fly Hi drag bars internally wired
Ness RAD III chrome controls/switch housings
Avon Renthal Grips
Oval mirrors w/billet stems
Chrome electrical cover
D&D Fat Cat Exhaust
Doherty PowerPACC Intake (Thanks to bearammus)
ThunderMAX w/Autotune (Thanks to pg)
Progressive Chrome 412 Rear Shocks 11” (Thanks to rounder)
Highway Pegs (Thanks to OhioSkully)

Before Right Side

Before Left Side

Mid Glide Front End Stripped Down

Test Fit New Alen Ness Fly Hi Drag Bars

Elusive 12mm Bolt. Make sure you have a long enough or narrow enough hex socket to fit up in this hole. I ended up buying a std "L" shaped key and cutting off the "L" and fitting the long end into a 12mm 6-point socket. Keep the fender bolted on too as it keeps the lower from spinning (had to put mine back on).

Lower Slider Internal Components. Tip: The manual isn't specific here but you have to remove the dust cover first (seal looking thing below my thumb) I pryed it out w/a small flat head. This gets you to the circlip (at my index finger) again a small flat head to pop it out. Then you can "slide hammer" the lower to pop the seal out (took a number of hits, don't be shy about it).

Funny you mention them. I am looking for options to change that before I put the front end back together.
