Too Loud? Dam I have the 2.25 baffles in my 09 Bob and think they sound great. Now if I am coming home late after a night out I usually try to keep it as quiet as I can in my neighborhood. I am interested in hearing what the 1.75's sound like; just to really hear if there is a big difference or not.
I might have to take some video and post it on You Tube.
"Loud Pipes Save Lives"
I'm consider myself pretty conservative with exhaust and just had the 1.75's installed a couple of weeks ago (along with the typical stage 1 upgrades) on an otherwise stock Fatbob
They sound just perfect to me.....I wouldn't want them a decibel higher or lower.
I heard a set of cycle chacke on a FB the other day- they're just as loud as the Rush, just a different tone.
Thanks all.
What Cycle Shacks did you hear? I have the 3" slash-cuts on mine. While louder than stock, they're not obnoxious. While there's definitely a performance gain, as mentioned before, it's not as dramatic as when I put Cycle Shacks on my old Nightster.
all aftermarket slip ons are loud.....comes with the territory. The Rush with the 1.75 are actually one of the less obnoxious ways to go. Sounds like your sensitive ears should just stick withthe stockers - I doubt you'll be happy with any aftermarked system if the Rush are too loud for you; maybe try the Screamin Eagles - you wont get the performance boost but maybe the sound will work for you

I agree. If the 1.75 Rush muffs are too loud, he needs to go with the Screamin' Eagle Street Performance slip-ons.
I think the Rush slip on's sound awesome for the money. The screaming eagles is most likey what you need. There just a tad louder than stock but if I were you I'd get the rush and just keep off the throttle around the neighborhood. They sound like a harley should...almost!

Don't know what they were, but they were much shorter than stock. tips were way short of the rear axle.
I asked the owner, but he didn't even know what brand they were, but CycleShack was stamped on the mounts.
