Default Moved handle bars forward????

I moved my mini apes forward a couple of inch's, does this effect the way the master cylinder works on the right side? Does it need to be turned back so that it is more level or can i not worry about it untill i need to add fluid?? HELP and THANKS!

Mine are forward, never had an issue. Seems like if they lean torwards me, my back starts to hurt.

I'm not sure about the Street Bob's mini-apes, but I know on the WGs the stock apes had the hand grips angled very slightly down. What you're accomplishing by moving the bars forward is flattening the grips out and changing your arm rotation/position. I've talked to lots of guys that had the same problem.

Usually aftermarket bars will solve the problem because they have a flatter grip angle than stock Harley bars. Plus they'll let you keep the bars back for better cruising position.

I think it has more to do with the way I'm sitting with the forward controls. When I have them back, I lean back slightly putting more strain on my back, with bad posture. If I have them forward, I sit more upright, and have better posture. At least that seems to be what effects me.

I run mine vertical, you can loosen the controls and level them out after the bars are where you want them.

I have the EXACT same problem dude. I was also thinking of trying moving the bars forward, please let us know how it works out for you with pics of the bars, if you can.

I have mine forward. They look exactly like Loners only with out the risers.

I do have a WG and Phrogman's right about the way the bars are made, by moving them forward it does seem to stretch the back out better and give better posture, i'm hoping to ride here real soon and find out. Thanks!!
