Hey guys, I'm looking to take off the reflectors on the rear fender and the tank emblems. Is there any way to do it myself without ruining the paint, HELP ME OUT!! thanks guys.
+3 its not all that hard, if you are nervous about it try to keep the mono/dantal floss/thread on the badge or reflector side of the adhesive. The remainder of the adhesive strip on the bike can be removed with your thumb, and a little WD-40/Carb Cleaner to take off any remaining residue.
I peeled mine of slowly after using a hair.dryer..the residue I just rolled off with my thumb but kept it warm ..was a bit scared because of the Denim paint finish but worked out ok..just have patience : )
on the forks, just get something plastic under it and lift slowly, as you use a hair dryer..
Easy, also any sticky left on the forks, pull like your stretching it and it will release and come right off,
tank and fender just rubbed off with my thumb.
just take your time, and when your pulling on the tank badges watch the other end, don't let it dig the tank, I used a piece of Velcro on that end to make sure it didn't pry on the tank..
Thanks guys... way easier than I though it would have been... I LOVE THIS FORUM... SO HELPFUL!! I'll work on it when it gets a little warmer out.. Thanks again everyone.
