Default Need some help

fellas i'm currently on leave, and decided to spend a couple bucks. Just got back from the local HD parts counter and the part dude has me second guessing. I want the SE stage 1 #29773-02C and he gave me some gooblygook about it will not fit on an 08 lowrider and that it automatically voids the warranty and some other tech stuff. Now I wasn't thinking too clearly due to CPT Morgan and Senor Patron last night. But I checked the search and have not come up with a clearcut answer. Will this part fit on my 08 FXDL? Is there any other HD options?

Get a Ness Big sucker off ebay for way less dough. As far as the warranty I don't think it will void it. Those clowns at the parts counter are trained to get you to spend maximum dollar every time you are there. Never have had a warranty on my bike as I am the second owner.

Ummm let me think. A Harley air filter, made by Harley, for on a Harley. Yeah, sounds like something that will void your Harley warranty. The parts guy is an idiot !

Looks like it will fit if you are not going to use the OEM a/c cover. Was the parts guy speaking of teh warranty being voided if you did not recalibrate the ECM? If so, that is a strong possibilty. Bike will run too lean if the air/fuel ratio is not adjusted.

Here is the description from the SE catalog:

C. Screamin’ EagleŽ Stage I Air Cleaner Kit –
Twin Cam Models*
Kit features a one-piece cast back plate with integral breather
and mounting brackets for simplified installation, and a “state of
the art” synthetic media washable air cleaner element that does
not require oiling. If you want more torque from your Twin Camequipped
model, this kit provides a freer breathing capability to
pump-up the power of your EFI-equipped motorcycle. This kit
includes air cleaner, breather, and all required hardware. Street
legal when used with stock mufflers. All EFI-equipped models
require ECM calibration* (priced separately).
*Recalibration is required for proper installation, and will allow
engine to rev to 6200 RPM. See dealer for details. Labor cost
not included.

I have the SE stage 1 , my dealer says if its a harley part it doesn't void the warranty. my dealer will even cover all add ons at time of purchase for the full two years.
I would check with their warranty specialist in the service dept.
