fellas i'm currently on leave, and decided to spend a couple bucks. Just got back from the local HD parts counter and the part dude has me second guessing. I want the SE stage 1 #29773-02C and he gave me some gooblygook about it will not fit on an 08 lowrider and that it automatically voids the warranty and some other tech stuff. Now I wasn't thinking too clearly due to CPT Morgan and Senor Patron last night. But I checked the search and have not come up with a clearcut answer. Will this part fit on my 08 FXDL? Is there any other HD options?
Get a Ness Big sucker off ebay for way less dough. As far as the warranty I don't think it will void it. Those clowns at the parts counter are trained to get you to spend maximum dollar every time you are there. Never have had a warranty on my bike as I am the second owner. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FITS-...spagenameZWDVW
he is a lier! not sure if it will fit but it will NOT void any warnt! ask him to call MoCo next time they tell you that and have them explain why... you should see the parts and service guys when you say that... idiots trying to rip good people off... stupid
Ummm let me think. A Harley air filter, made by Harley, for on a Harley. Yeah, sounds like something that will void your Harley warranty. The parts guy is an idiot !
Looks like it will fit if you are not going to use the OEM a/c cover. Was the parts guy speaking of teh warranty being voided if you did not recalibrate the ECM? If so, that is a strong possibilty. Bike will run too lean if the air/fuel ratio is not adjusted.

I have the SE stage 1 , my dealer says if its a harley part it doesn't void the warranty. my dealer will even cover all add ons at time of purchase for the full two years.
I would check with their warranty specialist in the service dept.
