Can't comment on the 07 CVO seat because I've never sat on one. However, I finally settled on a Wide Glide seat for my FXDC. It's the best stock Harley seat I've ever ridden on, and it looks good too. You might want to give one a try. You can usually pick up a good used one relatively inexpensive on e-bay, but even a new one from Zanotti is only about $165.
I might be wrong but I don't think you can buy a CVO seat without a CVO vin number. They will ask for it when you order the seat. I tried to get a CVO ignition switch ...no joy.
is that wide glide seat one peice,it looks great, hows the ride on the back.
I can't comment on how the passenger pillion rides because I've never ridden on it and I don't carry passengers on my bike. I would say it would be just as comfortable as the 07 CVO Dyna seat.
The Wide Glide seat is a one-piece seat but the pillion is a separate piece of foam and is covered separately. Here is what the bottom of the seat looks like:
I have an 07 CVO dyna seat and I love it. It sits me about 1" lower and I sit in the bob not on the bob. Got mine for $75.00 off craigslist. Ended up buying the wheels and tires from the guy as well. I know that they are around $300.00 from the MOCO. Personally I wouldn't pay that much for it. Just the centers are leather. It's also horrible for a passenger. But for solo it's what I use daily.
