I think it got to 80 degrees in Daytona Today. I have a damm sunburn to prove it. I have raccoon eyes. Not trying to rub it in, but the weather in Florida is out of sight.
Weather's got me pretty bummed. Went on a ride yesterday and run thru a little rain shower and got my t-shirt wet. Luckily the sun came back out and it dried in no time.
Good Luck
Tom
What I get for being a smartass.
I been boxing up crap for two days to take to a swap meet tomorrow, actually today now, which probably is a waste of time cause the weather is gonna be so crappy.
Girlfriend calls me up earlier and wants me to come over and I tell her I'm still getting ready for the swap meet and of course she insists and says we'll eat late. So I go and friends come over and we're still eating and drinking at way after midnite. I get ready to leave and it's cold as hell and she wants me to stay over but shes got her kid and a drunk girlfriend who doesn't want to drive home staying over,so I say to hell with this and leave anyway.
It's only about ten miles but I got my leather jacket on and it isn't too bad til it starts raining and then turns into ice pellets. We're on the Gulf Coast here, okay. I didn't even realize what it was til my face started stinging and I finallly tucked down below my little Windvest windshield and then I couldn't see **** and I'd poke my head up to get my bearings and then duck again. Thankfully it only lasted for about two miles.
Hats off to you guys who ride in this crap all the time. I'll pass on it.
I'm in Maryland, and I hate it. I have riden in the cold (30's) but I dont like it. To me, it's not enjoyable if I'm all bundled up and shivering. If all goes well, I'll be living in Arizona by this time next year!
in georgia , we can usually ride all year round, it just gets slowed down a little from dec. to feb. but this year has been brutal, either below freezing or raining since nov. today the 2 got together and we got 3 inches of snow. i gotta brand new s. b. in the garage, braught home jan 15 and have only managed to put 200 miles on it.
it's not the salt that stops me. It's the 2 inches of snow on top of ice that's covering the roads that stops me. We need heat and sun fast. I'm going stir crazy up here! LOL
