wear the oakley's in uniform, non steel toe version. I've worn them a couple of times riding to work and actually through the MSF course. They are comfortable as anything else available once they get broken in.

Oakleys are nice but a bit over priced if you look around you can find similar stuff for alot less. I suggest these http://www.uscav.com/Productinfo.asp...0209&TabID=548 These are pretty comfortable and reasonably priced. I typically just wear an old broke in pair of issue desert boots when I ride though, nothing fancy.

I own a pair in desert tan (for work) and they are probably the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I wore them home on vacation once and used them for riding...yeah, they're still at home and I wish I had them here.

Worth the $$$!

We were issued those as well. Very comfortable and decent for riding.

Well after hearing all this I think I will take the plunge and try out a pair. I can't really think of a reason not to. I just can't take my HD boots any longer to tel lthe truth, like I said they are ok to ride in but if you get off and do any walking they are terrible.

Very comfortable all around but no heel.

Not sure how they would handle in a scuff up.

I love mine but prefer a heavier boot for the rides.

How are they with moisture? Are they waterproof at all or are they for dry environments only?

They were made for the SF guys to use on all environments. They will keep your feet dry.

I wear a pair of those every day at work. I've used them on the bike a few times, and they work fine. They're the most comfortable boot I've ever worn. If I didn't get the government discount, I don't know if I could justify the full price. The government discount puts them about $100
