When I lived in Minnesota I rode anytime I could. One winter I was able to ride at least once every month. Just wash it when done, should be good. I did get salt spots on my trees of my sporter when we trailered they to south Texas uncovered and rode on the beach in the salt water once we got there.

If I had a shed or 'grudge' with running water and a floor drain I'd ride through the winter. At least when the roads are dry and the temp is above 20. And a heated parking space at work. The bike doesn't wanna start after sitting outside all day when the temps are below 35 all day.

I ride all winter. Regarding salt - just wash the bike with soap, brush and water and hose it good when you get home (provided you have a garage). If you don't have a garage, it is harder because the water will freeze outside.
