I have my Wide Glide lowered with 11 in. shocks on the rear. I've never scraped pegs (would be having problems if I did), but I have scraped the kickstand a few times on left turns.
I had my wide glide lowered both, front and rear, and have scraped both right and left sides. Nothing gets your attention faster than that sound of scraping metal on pavement......
I was riding over the weekend and took a left hand bend that tightened up on me. I have a standard height Bob with forward controls and the heel of my left boot scrapped the ground followed by the left footrest. It was not really a problem and safety was not compromised.
I have ridden bikes in the past that would have comfortably negotiated the bend and it was a little disconcerting on my new Harley, but I now have a better understanding of the limits of the scoot.
After you lower the front and rear, I suggest trying it out in some sort of controlled environment so you don't get that "Oh bugger" feeling when you are out doing it for real.
The only reason for lowering the bike was so that Lyndell was able to get her feet well placed on the ground which enables her to manoeuver the bike when parking and stoped at trafic lights. She will never ride to the point of scraping the pegs, this is her bike.
The jiffy stand works without a problem, the hardest thing for Lyndell was locating the stand while sitting on the bike. The tyres are Michelin, standard size on the front with 160/60/17 at the rear.I like the blackout look I've done it to match my RK.
