Just seen a pic with a burly slammer kit installed. It looks sic!!! I have an 09' Fatbob and was wondering if any one has lowered theres yet. Or what would be the best kit to go with, or how low can you go?
As you can see on my Bob (album) I lowered it to the max.. 2" front and 2,75" rear. I have no struts so I can go lower than if you still have the stock fender. I belive 1,5"-1,75" (rear) is max depending how heavy you are and what shocks you have. Stock shocks= soft.
Lower looks better, but by no means doesn't handle better... lol so it depends on what you mean by "better". I have 412 11" progressives. I wish I spent more money on some better shocks, as these pretty much blow. They are definitely better then stock, so don't get me wrong.. I would like to throw some 13" ohlins to see how that looks and handles.. that would be crazy!
I lowered my bike and have to say I feel it handles, better... but must say that the ride is much harsher than it was originally. Cornering on sweeping curves seems to be much more solid...if you know what I am trying to say

Totally agree with Adrian... Not happy with the 412, better than stock but hard as heII...
Maybe Works suspension could be something. Ohlins is da shajt, but EXPENSIVE.
And you have to work with the front as well if you want better handling.
I dont commute on mine so I'm in it for the vanity! Love the look, deal with the hard ride. I can still get my yellow Craftsman lift under it though it is a chore. 11'' 412's and Progressive drop in kit here...no regrets.
get to soldering bud! i slammed mine and had to re route EVERY wire from under the fender to though the side rails, lots of cut and solder!
notice everyone that is slammed has done the same, just a little warning before you slam it go for a ride and short out
