Default V&H Pro Pipe

So brain is twitchin' again.... thinking about possibly moving to a 2 into 1 pipe. Not impressed with all I've heard about the Thunderheader's poor chrome.

Haven't heard a lot about the V&H Pro Pipe.

Anybody that runs one care to comment about how the pipes are working for them? (sound, performance, asthetics)

Thanks !

I like mine a lot. No problem with chrome or fit. Sounds good.

Many of the guys with heavily modded Yami Warriors where I came from used the Propipe, swore by its' number producing ability. It had one big gripe with the Warrior guys (twisty capable bike) and that being it was too dang LOW... it would drag easy in right handers on stock height bikes.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn of the D&D Fat Cat when I bought my Dyna a few months ago. It has a little better clearance than the ProPipe.

I have a Pro Pipe on mine that I just put on after Xmas and last Sat I took it for my 1st ride after I put on my PC V. I like the sound of it and the quality is great. Between the Pro Pipe, the PC-V, and the SE air intake kit I notice much better performance. The pipe is louder than stock, but not to loud to draw the attenton of the LEO, but when you get on it hard the pipe comes to life, and to me sounds great.

I wanted the Pro Pipe in black, but it wasn't going to be ready until April. Instead, I went with a Rinehart 2-1 pipe in black. It looks the same, performance seems to be good, but it's damn loud.

Seems like me & you are in the same boat! I have a buddy running a pro pipe on a SE duece w/113" and when he's sitting there it doesn't sound like anything special but when he's moving it's a whole different story! He went through the same thing I'm dealing with now, but decided on the pro pipe because of overall performance gains. He went through quite a few exhaust systems along with intakes to get the most out his bike. And it wasn't cheap! Overall the pro pipe is one of the top 3 2-1 pipes IMO. It's just getting over the looks of the 2-1's that I'm having a problem with!

I have the Python 2-1 and really like it.

The only issue I had was with the baffle.

It may be due to the fact that I removed the fiberglass and made it a little more free-flowing, but one of the factory welds broke. I welded it up and it broke again, so I rewelded it and it seems to be holding now.

It's not horribly loud when you are riding normally, but you can really maje it bark when you want it to.

I like the slash cut tip more than the straight cut.

The Pro Pipe is a good pipe. I've had mine since they were released for the new
dynas. They perform good, they give a deep sound, but when you open it up
it screams and sounds sick. As far as looks, they look just like the day I installed
them.
