Hey guys, I'm debating going with the black or chrome the Vance and Hines Short Shots on my 09 Black Denim Street bob, I know everyone is going to say "go with what you like, it's your bike." and in my mind I have a good idea, would just like some more opinons. I have the Chrome heavy Breather, and some chrome here and there that is different from stock, just can't decide if the black will clash with the silver primary on on the 09 model.. thanks for the opinion!
Personally, I think H-D screwed the pooch when they put silver covers on that bike. But since they did, I'd probably go with black pipes. At least that way the silver covers would be surrounded by black, on one side.
yeah i hear that a lot of people don't like the silver... personally it's why i got an 09 instead of an 08 I think the black on the 08 is to much but i like your idea on black pipes! thanks man!
I have the black ones. I also have a black Heavy Breather. Obviously I'm a fan of black. However, the chrome might look kick @ss with your heavy breather. Also not a fan of the silver primary so I kinda agree with DANNYZ71. Oh screw it!! "Go with what you want, it's your bike" LOL.
Go with the chrome pipes. Black out most everything else... I think it accentuates the look with chrome on black. SC-Longhair puts up a good point. Get the chrome. You can always powdercoat the heat shields...
Maybe someone with photoshop could take BamBam's pic and black out the pipes and you could compare them side by side. I think the chrome looks good on it but then you look at A-10's bike and the black looks right at home there too. Tough decision, good luck.
Here's an idea...get the chrome. If you don't like it, get 'em coated. problem solved.
Awesome idea! You can't paint the black ones chrome. Have you thought about wrapping them (like mine)? Just another idea. Look at Tweakin's 09 bob. He went with chrome pipes and chrome covers. It's all a matter of balancing out the colors all over the bike. It's not just about the pipes. Things have to work together.
