I've been on this board a while and really like the Dyna forum, lots of good info and people here. I've noticed one thing since I first owned my Dyna Street Bob and that's when search for items/mods for it all I come up with is freakin Softail stuff, like the Dyna is second class and everyone rides a Softail. Is it me or does it not seam there are more items for Softails than Dynas? I've been looking for a Open Belt Drive for my FXDB and really coming up short. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Mike
There are in fact way more aftermarket stuff for softails than for dynas..........this is because it takes so much more to make them into decent motorcycles. The Dyna is good the way is :-)
+1 for the dynas. I almost bought a night train when I was moving up from a sportster. The sales guy made the mistake of putting the night train I was supposed to buy next to the Fat Bob.
Primo makes one... hell there are several companies out there that make them...all high $$$$.. any reason you want the meat grinder? or is it the dry cluch... you can kiss that soft pull clutch good bye cause i am pretty sure they only make 5 spring opens... better start building that forarm... a 3 spring is not bad... it is def something i would like to do way down the line but mainly for ease of maintenance as well as it just looks sinister!
Looks and ease of maintenance are the reasons. I can get over a hard clutch pull as the required time to get the $$ will allow plenty of gym time, lol
I test rode a Night Train when I was getting ready to trade in my ZX6R and then test rode a Dyna. Dynas by far have better suspension and was more comfortable for me. Which was exactly what I was looking for, got tired of being hunched over doing 200+ mile rides on my 600cc corner carver, lol
