HI Guys,
I just bought another bike yesterday was wondering what the seat bumper kit looks like for an 09 street bob. What is the purpose of this kit ? I do not want a two up seat and the pillon pad requires it.
Thanks

Good choice on the bike, did you replace one or ad to the stable?

If you don't want a two up seat or the pillion what do you need the bumpers for? That's about the only thing they are for is to keep the seat off the paint. As for the kit it's just four one inch square rubber pads about 1/4 inch thick with adhesive on one side.

No I need the pillion pad for the little lady when she rides but she only rides about 10% of the time and would rather take the pillion pad off. I traded my 08 nighty in for this one but I do have a 75' in the stable.

Has anyone had problems with a gap between the pillion pad and the front OEM seat. Dealer said that there was a gap and it didn't look right. They believe that 08 seat won't fit on the 09 even though it has the same part number.

Why don't you just attach the bumpers to the pillion and not the paint? Just a thought.

Enjoy the new ride.

Or you can go to Walmart and buy a thing called a FOAMIE in the crafts section for $1. It's about the same thing. I agree about sticking it to the pillion instead. They come in black. I use them all the time.

I know you asked for help, not opinions. But, the Harley pillion looks like **** on these bikes. It is also a pain to put on and take off.

A few minutes on eBay and $50-75 bucks, you can get a nice take-off seat from any 06 and later Dyna. Put it on when she rides, then use your solo when she doesn't. Its cheaper, quicker, and looks better.

Most new owners will be looking at aftermarket seats eventually anyway.

Still use the bumper kit (or similar) with a two-up to protect yoru paint.
