I would have taken the trade. Shovels are unreliable but they look and sound so freakin cool. My friends have 3 of them. I think they will INCREASE in value in a few years if they are fairly original. I hope the sportys keep going down because I miss mine and want to build a cheap bobber.

I would deal with the mechanical needs for that bike.
But I would swap the bars (mini apes), switched to spoked wheels and find a set of hard bags that fit the lines of the tins better.
Thats just me.

It's a 1976, The person that had it cut the oil off to the primary and installed a primary belt. There's some other work done to it but I don't know all the details.
